About FAIR School for Arts

Looking for a space to develop your own unique identity and artistic potential? Do you learn best through innovative scheduling and hands-on experiences? Are your artistic interests beyond the classes found in a typical high school?  

Located in downtown Minneapolis at the gateway to the Arts District, The Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Resource (FAIR) School for Arts is the Downtown Minneapolis premier high school. Rooted in equity, excellence, and the arts, the FAIR School provides rich programming, relevant instruction, and fosters high achievement, cultural understanding, global citizenship, and a robust network of partnerships that help engage and empower students in personalizing their learning experience. We are a comprehensive high school with real-world opportunities to learn in and through a variety of arts including dance, music, media arts, theatre, and visual arts. Our immersive and intensive arts-based curriculum prepares students for college, career, and beyond.  We value the creative process and support arts-integrated learning across all content areas.

Student's individual interests and talents are nurtured through diverse and culturally sustaining learning experiences both inside the walls of FAIR and extending to the greater downtown arts campus. Fine arts and core content teachers will get to know you as an individual to guide you on YOUR path to success. We want to help you discover and refine your own artistry by connecting you with resident professional artists and partnerships in the downtown community.  

Perform on stage, create in a studio, or work behind the scenes while completing your high school degree through arts-integrated coursework.  All students entering grades 9-12, regardless of background or experience in the arts, are invited to apply.  We encourage students with an eagerness to learn and a capacity for continued growth to come learn with us.
